Last night was Rose's Christmas Concert..and it was FABULOUS!!! The absolute best part was Rose spotting us and waving with the hugest smile on her face....but there were close seconds...
Like the dude in Grade 5 wearing the shirt that said "Santa is my Homeboy", or the kid in Grade 2 in the front row with the mowhawk elbowing and chatting with his buddy beside him but NEVER missing one single move he was supposed to make...moves which included rolling the hips like a hula hoop and swinging and bopping back and forth to the song with everyone else!
or the sweet little blond girl in the beautiful shiny red dress in gr 3 who sang and lifted her arms up like she was singing opera in every song and then later yanked her dress up to scratch an itch on her upper thigh...
Or the big kid in primary falling off one of the steps onto the little kid in front of him. Then after they both got up and resumed their places on the risers, the little kid stood sideways for the rest of the time they were on stage watching the big kid to make sure he wasn't going to fall on him again!
or the Santa that looked like he was preggo waddling in fast baby steps across the stage between every class to act his part and by the final act his baby had dropped so low that several parents commented that he was going to deliver before the end of the concert!
Whew! There's nothing like Christmas concert comedy..My face still hurts from trying not to laugh out loud. Best of all ..it's free entertainment!

Now my face hurts, and I'm not holding back anything! Thanks for sharing the pain. Oh, I do miss traditional, all school "Chirstmas" concerts! In our school each grade puts on their own "Winter" concert, and it just doesn't have the same manic hilarity! Cute, but just not the same.
oh, and I meant to say that Rose looks wonderful in her beautiful dress.
Last night was our schools concert..not nearly as entertaining...but then I only saw my class.
